This Week

9/22-9/26

 We are continuing our study of the Byzantine Empire. Students will learn all about Justinian's accomplishments and how he made the emipire so great. Another topic students will learn about is the Iconoclast controversy, how the Christian Church was split into Greek Othodox and Roman Catholic. Students will also learn about mosaics, like the one pictured on the right and the Hagia Sophia. Students will have a quiz on Friday, September 26th only on Justinian.

 

9/29--10/3

Students will start the week with learning about the decline of the Byzantine Empire. They will be tested on Wednesday, Oct 1st. Then students will start their outline about the Frankish Empire.
