I am originally from Somerset. I am a graduate of the University of Massachusetts. I started my career in elementary education, teaching four years at that level in California. Upon moving back to the area, I made the switch to the middle school level and taught English as a Second Language in Brockton. Due to my experience teaching reading, I  taught English Language Arts in Fall River and then Somerset for eight years until finding my home as a social studies teacher. I currently hold certifications in both English and History. This is  my eighteenth year of teaching!

In addition to teaching, I love reading, photography, sewing, music, and movies. I have been married 15 years and have a dog and one cat.
